Most predictions decay within a quarter. A few patterns are stubborn enough to outlast model launches, vendor pivots, and the next narrative cycle. We bet on these because they are boring, observable, and have already survived three years of churn. If a forecast contradicts one of them, the forecast is wrong, not the pattern.

Read the horizon column carefully. The closest shift, small models everywhere, is already shipping; you can buy it in the next sprint. The furthest, audited marketplaces, is on a two-year arc. Each row deserves a different response: ride it, plan for it, watch it. The mistake is responding to all five with the same urgency.
